Hello, and welcome back to another weekly blog, brought to you by our team, FGCU Good Grubs! It has been an awfully frantic week. We hope our blog can help distract you from the unfortunate events that have been occuring.
This week our team took a trip to Texas RoadHouse in Estero, Florida. This Texas RoadHouse is fairly new to the area. It is located across the street from Rusty’s Bar and Grille in Estero.
Keaton’s Review:
Texas RoadHouse is a personal favorite to me. I love the atmosphere, service, and the food. From the second I walk in the restaurant I am pleased by my surroundings. The host stand greets you with respect and excitement, making you feel very welcomed. I really like how the host take you to the table with freshly cooked bread in their hands. By the time you sit down, you can’t help yourself to dive into the bread, accented with cinnamon butter.
Our team each ordered the steak kabobs with a side of mashed potatoes. I was so impressed with the service. It took the staff roughly ten minutes to bring us our meal from the time we ordered. Furthermore, the food was incredible. I ordered the steak medium, which is my personal preference. It was unbelievable. The steak kabob came with rice, steak, red peppers, and green peppers. The meal is the opposite of dry. The peppers and steak were both juicy adding to flavor. The mixture of their peppers, steak, and rice was so delicious, I am itching to go back. I even mixed some of the steak with my mashed potatoes which made out to be an awesome combination. It took me five minutes to eat my entire meal and I honestly thought about ordering a second.
Overall, Texas RoadHouse offers an amazement of food entrees. If you like steak, I highly recommend going to your local Texas RoadHouse. Steak kabobs are easy to make at home too, considering many restaurants may be closing down due to Coronavirus. All you need is steak and peppers. To make it even better, add some mashed potatoes and rice. I would rate this meal a 8.7 on a scale from 1 to 10. If you have the chance, go to Texas RoadHouse!
Everyone stay safe out there. We will continue to write our blog, we just may have to resort to home cooked meals. Also, Remember to wash your hands!
Tara’s Review:
This past trip to Texas RoadHouse was my first. I was very pleased with the whole meal overall. I always heard that the bread rolls are fenomenal, and everyone was not wrong. I enjoyed every bite of the sweet, savory rolls.
The staff was very friendly, and greeted us with welcoming smiles. The waitress was nice and attentive to any and every need we had. She was also very informative.

I was in complete awe when trying the steak, I did not expect it to be so delicious. I will most likely be back in the next two weeks, due to how satisfied I was with my meal. Now I know of another great steak joint to go to when in the mood.
Overall,I highly recommend this restaurant, and would rate it an 8.2/10

I’ve honestly never been to Texas RoadHouse until I went with my fellow blogmates. I've just always been a fan of Outback Steakhouse, so whenever I would be in the mood for a good steak, I would go there. But after my visit at Texas RoadHouse, I think I’m going to start switching it up soon.
The hostesses greeted us with a smile and the servers were very respectful. I was in the mood for some kabobs, and so was the team, so that’s what we all ordered. We figured that it would give a more accurate review for our blog. The steak was really juicy and well seasoned. The meal was very filling too, and I enjoyed every bite. However, the best part of the meal were the bread rolls. I probably ate like 8 of them myself.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. I’m not sure if I like it more than Outback, but I definitely will be a returning customer. I think the bread rolls really convinced me. I would give it a 7.9/10.
